Human

Some people can take all the great things they have for granted. The flowing bank account, the loyal friends, the wonderful significant other, or the parent that no matter what, always believes in you. All those things, especially the last three are what makes us who we are as people and unique individuals. The boy who grows up with friends who respect and love him is more likely to be willing to take more risks and live life to the fullest. Whereas the girl who is teased for her broad shoulders and large breasts, might grow up to be self cautious and eventually wall herself  off emotionally and physically from the rest of the world. However if that girl was to get nothing more then undying support from her parents or loved one she would have the courage to become stronger then anyone who dares mock her.
Our emotional genes, are what defines us everyday. The shy girl, the angry guy, the creepy man or the sad women. These characteristics are the results of years of physical and emotional stimulation, both the positive and negative kind. You don't just simple burst from the womb a fully developed human being, you must endure life's bad times, and enjoy life's good times to be able to come to terms with who you are as an individual.
This is what makes us human. This is what makes us unique. This is what it's all about.

What the Future holds, and by "Future" I mean tomorrow

I plan on watching the incredible talented Richard Williams give one of his renowned classes on animation. I'm curious to find out how much I am wrong about the art of animation, truly it will be a awesome time.
Till' then... tonight I kill hundreds of locusts on Gears of War 3.

What makes an Experience an Unforgettable one?

An "Experience"  can be a lot of things.
Webster defines "Experience" as... "a direct observation of or participation in events as a basis of knowledge." So what exactly makes and experience an unforgettable one?
Is it a defining moment in our life that helps us find out who we are and what we want to do? Or is it as simple as seeing a awesome movie that sticks with us all throughout our childhood.
I really would like to find out what experiences helped make me who I am today. Then maybe I could incorporate the elements of that moment into my work. Another mark for my to-do list.

A Few Things

1. I really wish the platformer would be revived in modern video games. Mario (although awesome) shouldn't be the only source for such gameplay. This just further compels me to try and make that a reality.

2. College has taught me to think more realistically among other things. So it's nice to once and awhile think optimistically about certain things. Every great thing at some point started as a dream, and I try never to forget that.

3. I wish older women wouldn't wear PINK university clothing and such.

Jim Martian! (Director of Sesame Street)

Got to meet Jim Martian the other day and received some valuable feed back from him on a project me and some buddies where presenting. I'm so glad the director of a classic kid's program turned out to be a pretty awesome guy.

"Fame-ah-lee"

Families are that obnoxious grandma who screams and yells for her cigarettes, and the mother who has more mental breakdowns then a institutionalized lunatic. You know that you should't have to deal with them, yet you do and willingly at that. To the Fathers that show little to no interests in there son's new passion , to the Aunt's that cry openly at public places after a rough day, families are what make up the society that so many claim are flawed. We struggle at times with people we rather don't care for, and hope to never see again, yet at the same time your brother argues and annoys a complete stranger only to come home to your acceptance and love.
We can hate the same kind of people that we live with, and yet the people we live with are much more bearable then the ones we make quick exchanges with on the street. If we cannot stand the rude driver we happen to get behind on the highway, then how are we able to deal with the sister who is an incredible aggressive driver.

Blogging, The next Frontier

Thanks to a helpful tip from a professor at school, I've decided to keep a Blog on the stuff that an inspiring art student deals with on a daily basis.

Here's hoping to keep the ignorance to a minimum, cheers.
